Dallas is asking voters for the approval of at least a $1B bond in May '24. As an elected official at that time, how much of the bond would you like to see devoted to housing, and what programs and priorities would you hope to see funded?
How would you address housing affordability if/when Dallas begins rewriting its land development code, and how would you move it forward?
Accessory Dwelling Units (AUD's) are popular across the country but face more stringent requirements in Dallas. As the Short-Term Rental ordinance goes into effect, would you support making it easier for property owners to build and lease ADU’s? How?
City staff has previously been tasked with amending parking requirements until amendments stalled within the City Plan Commission. Would you support relaxing parking requirements to allow more housing development? If so, to what extent?
